Late-Transfers During the COVID-19 Outbreak

Red Tent Midwives, LLC is receiving inquiries from pregnant families inquiring about transferring care to us late in pregnancy due to the Coronavirus. We Midwives are working to provide care for anyone who wishes to have a homebirth during this outbreak within the Treasure Valley.

Transferring your care to have a homebirth with us:

• Call our Midwives at 208.450.5321, ask questions and schedule an appointment
• Request your complete prenatal records, including lab work from your current provider. These can be brought with you to your first appointment or your provider can fax them directly to us at  208.514.1285
• Ensure you are low-risk. Our midwives will be happy to discuss this with you. We adhere to the guidelines of our license as set by the Idaho State Licensing Board.
• At least one visit must take place before your birth. Don't wait too long to contact us!
• Consultations with the Midwives are available via phone or video chat (Zoom, FaceTime, etc)

The Midwives of Red Tent Midwives are here to help keep you and your baby safe. We are available to help you with billing your insurance and accept Medicaid.

We always provide the same level of care to late-transfer clients as those who are already in our practice. Our equipment is the same as a birth center or hospital and we carry the same medications.
