Pre-Conception Education

Midwifery Model of Care™

Red Tent Midwives is committed to following the Midwifery Model of Care™, which centers on the idea that pregnancy and childbirth are normal life events.  The Midwifery Model of Care includes monitoring the physical, psychological and social well being of the mother; providing education and counseling to foster informed decision making, full support during labor, birth and the immediate postpartum period while minimizing interventions and identifying and referring women who require obstetrical attention.
